Black Pirate, The 1925
The Black Pirate is an action packed nautic adventure. Douglas Fairbanks stars as the son of a murdered father seeking revenge aboard a pirate ship. He suspects the murderer to be one of the pirates. Disguished as one of the pirates he tries to gain the trust of the pirates. He even participates and excells in robberies, he manages to take over a merchant ship all by himself. This film is one of the very first (meaby even the first) shot in 2 strip technicolor. Many of the copies left today are in black and white. The athletics of Fairbanks assure an easy to watch one man show adventure. The initial story was written by Elton Thomas, which was rumoured to by an alias for Fairbanks himself.
